Alternatives to a Book Report

As you continue working with your choice books, and as you think about ways to incorporate technology into what you're doing, here are some examples of things you could try.  This short article includes 10 ways to incorporate technology into reading responses.  Many of the programs are things we'll be learning about in the days to come.  http://theapple.monster.com/benefits/articles/8529-10-technology-enhanced-alternatives-to-book-reports

This website includes a 25 different alternatives.  See if you can think of ways to technologically enhance some of those beyond what's there.  How can you make spaces for your students to respond to literature, demonstrate their understanding of it and share it with others?  Experiment with some of these if you like, either in your blogs or as an alternative.  http://www2.scholastic.com/browse/article.jsp?id=3751023

Think of other things you can do with technology and with books that seem to honor the spirit of Kadjer's perspective of learning with our students and making literacy activities collaborative, interactive and relevant.
